A Step-by-Step Guide to Layering Complexion Products

When it comes to creating a flawless complexion, it’s all about that base—and we have all the tips on how to layer them like a pro thanks to our Artist Experts. Keep reading for a step-by-step guide on how to stack all of your complexion products for a finish that lasts.

After prepping with your skincare favorites (Kakadu Beauty Oil, Super Serum Hydrating Mist, and Kakadu Luxe Cream), you’re ready to start applying your makeup.

How to layer complexion makeup:

Sunscreen
Concealer
Foundation
Setting Powder

Step 1: Sunscreen

Applying SPF is a no-brainer, especially when it's SunCoverup Super Tint SPF 50. Your daily dose of hydration, protection, and radiant coverage in every drop.

How to apply it:
Shake well before use. Dispense a quarter-size amount of SunCoverup into palms and apply liberally and evenly all over the face and neck, blending well for seamless coverage, 15 minutes before sun exposure. Allow 30-60 seconds for the product to set. The flexible formula will dry down and adjust to its true tone. For additional coverage, apply another layer. Remember to reapply your SPF every two hours.

Step 2: Concealer

Next up is Revitalize Hydra Concealer. This skin-first serum-concealer hybrid brightens, conceals, and treats with skincare-powered ingredients like Tetra C (Vitamin C derivative), Tightenyl™, Vegetable Squalane, and antioxidant-rich adaptogens.

Available in 16 stretchable shades, it's designed to flex across undertones for a second-skin finish that looks radiant and never cakey.

How to apply it:
Warm a small amount of Revitalize Hydra Concealer on the back of your hand or swirl with a brush. Press and blend into the under-eye area with your ring finger, a brush, or the damp Skin2Skin Beauty Sponge. Apply to the corners of your nose, any areas of redness, blemishes, or where you want to brighten.

How to choose concealer shade in 2025:
For the under-eye area, we suggest going one shade lighter than your ReEvolve Foundation. Shades ending in ".5" have a subtle peach hue, perfect for neutralizing blue or purple under-eye tones.

Step 3: Foundation

Step 4: Setting Powder
